Dr. Seuss

The first Dr. Seuss Secret Art releases for 2016 are That Winter Spring Came Late and Bring on Your Dragons.  Both wonderful works.

That Winter Spring Came Late is Dr. Seuss’ painting of his family home in Springfield Mass.  It is a piece he had above his desk for many, many years reminding him of his roots and family.  Measuring 36 X 24″, it is a Mixed-Media Pigment Print on Canvass for $1895.

Bring on Your Dragons shows St George and his steed facing the New Year with all challenges or issues well faced.  Done originally in the 1930’s for the Thomas D. Murphy Calendar Company this is one of 24 works completed for them by Dr. Seuss from 1935 to 1941.  Measuring 36 X 24″ it also is a Mixed Media Pigment Print on Canvass for $1895.

 Michael Wilkinson

For many years we have represented the foremost artists sculpting in the new medium of acrylic casting.  Michael Wilkinson is one.  As a 20th anniversary celebration of its release Touchstone is returning to its opening price of $2900 for a limited time.  Michael is temporarily reducing the price to make it available to the beginning collector as well as those feeling the pinch in these rough economic times.  It’s a perfect mix of romance, beauty and elegance.

 Fabio Napoleoni

Often you hear that an artist wishes he could paint like a child.  Fabio Napoleoni is an artist who does.  One of today’s most successful artists, his imagery is simple and collectors love his straightforward and pure manner.  His new releases include When Love Bugs Bite and Defiant

In Defiant Marcenivo has made his decision and is sticking to it.  One gets the sense of the child in us choosing to go it alone, no matter what others may think.  A Mixed Media on paper is measures 27 X 22″ and is priced at $425.

 Michael Parkes

Michael Parkes has also been active this year and has released a number of new graphics as well  as sculptures.

Butterfly Effect tells us of “Diana, Goddess of the Hunt” She is the embodiment of feminine strength, beauty, athletic grace and courage. Her legend is older than Ancient Greece and the Vedic scriptures. But what does she hunt? She is the energy of the stars, shooting her arrows through the heavens. She hunts the Darkness of the Night.” – Michael Parkes.  Butterfly Effect is a Masterwork on Canvas that measures 24.4″ x 35.4″ and is priced at $2500.
